THE DELEGATION OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA MADE AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO BATUMI
At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, the delegation led by the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia made a reciprocal visit to Batumi on October 19-21, 2023.
The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia Arman Dilanyan and the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Merab Turava had a private conversation at the Constitutional Court of Georgia, followed by a working meeting with the participation of the Justices of the High Courts of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties touched upon the issues related to the constitutional control in the two states, the interaction of the Constitutional Courts with the courts of general jurisdiction, the case-law decisions of the High Courts, as well as the mechanisms of institutional dialogue.
The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia Arman Dilanyan highly appreciated the cooperation of the Constitutional Courts of the two countries, emphasizing the ongoing collaboration and the exchange of experience.
The President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Merab Turava expressed gratitude to the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia for the visit, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the High Courts.
The delegation of the Republic of Armenia together with the Georgian colleagues visited the Saint Savior Church of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Batumi.
The delegation also visited the medieval Petra Fortress in Batumi.
