HRAYR TOVMASYAN HOSTED THE DELEGATION OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE IN ARMENIA
On May 30, 2019, Hrayr Tovmasyan, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia hosted the high-ranking delegation of the Council of Europe composed of Christos Giakoumopoulos, Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, Thomas Markert, Secretary of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, Hanne Juncker, Head of the Department of Justice and Legal Cooperation, Gianluca Esposito, Executive Secretary of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe, Natalia Voutova, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, and Maxime Longangue, political adviser to the Directorate of Political Affairs of the Council of Europe.
Welcoming the members of the delegation, Hrayr Tovmasyan, President of the RA Constitutional Court highlighted the importance of their visit to Armenia at this sensitive time of the upcoming reforms in the judiciary system.
The parties mutually underscored that reforms in the judiciary system should be implemented in accordance with the RA Constitution and international commitments.
