JUSTICE VAHE GRIGORYAN PARTICIPATED IN THE 5TH CONGRESS OF WORLD CONFERENCE ON CONSTITUTIONAL JUSTICE
On 4-7 October 2022, at the invitation of the Secretary General of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice Justice of the Constitutional Court V. Grigoryan paid a visit to Indonesia and participated in the activities of the 5th Congress of World Conference on Constitutional Justice.
Within the framework of the Congress, Justice of the Constitutional Court V. Grigoryan represented the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia at the working sessions of the regional profiled organizations of High Courts, namely the Conference of European Constitutional Courts and the Eurasian Association of Constitutional Review Bodies, as well as the Association of Francophone Constitutional Courts.
Moreover, on the margins of the Congress Justice Grigoryan had bilateral meetings with the representatives of the bodies administering constitutional justice in the French Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Latvia and the representatives of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe. During these meetings, issues related to the promotion of bilateral cooperation, and scopes of mutual professional interest were discussed and outlined, as well as agreements were reached in respect of hosting high-level reciprocal visits. While presenting to the foreign counterparts the successes of the Constitutional Court in consolidating democracy and human rights protection in Armenia, Justice Grigoryan attached importance to the promotion of dialogue and professional-technical cooperation between the High Courts in the areas of shared professional interest, particularly related to the protection and promotion of the European democratic heritage.
