THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTED THE HEAD OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE OFFICE IN YEREVAN
On 4 August 2022, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan, hosted the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan Martina Schmidt.
The President of the Constitutional Court attached importance to the Armenia/Council of Europe Action Plan for 2019-2022, noting that the Council of Europe is one of the key international partners of the Constitutional Court, and the parties have developed mutually beneficial cooperation over the past year.
In turn, the Head of the Council of Europe Office Martina Schmidt extended her thankfulness to the President of the Constitutional Court for the effective and close partnership. The Head of the Council of Europe Office commended the internal institutional reforms currently undertaken by the Constitutional Court, adding that the Council of Europe will continue to support the Constitutional Court in that endeavor.
The interlocutors mutually emphasized the importance of convention of such working meetings and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to continue cooperation in the field of protection and promotion of the rule of law, democracy, human rights and fundamental freedoms.
