WORKSHOP HELD BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT AND THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE OFFICE IN YEREVAN
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia and the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan held a workshop on the “Forfeiture of Assets of Illicit Origin” within the framework of the Project “Support to the Justice Reform in Armenia”. The President, Justices, and staff members of the Constitutional Court participated in the workshop.
The workshop aimed to explore the complex subject of the forfeiture of assets of illicit origin, the case-law decisions of international courts, the peculiarities of national legislations, and the practices of leading countries.
The professional discussions were also framed around the application of international standards with a detailed analysis of the Council of Europe Convention on Laundering, Search, Seizure, and Confiscation of the Proceeds of Crime.
Council of Europe prominent barrister Mr. Jeremy McBride played a leading role conducting the training sessions.
