PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT ARMAN DILANYAN ACCEPTED CONGRATULATORY LETTER FROM GIANNI BUQUICCHIO
On 30 October 2020, the newly elected President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan received a congratulatory letter from President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) of the Council of Europe Gianni Buquicchio.
In particular, the letter reads in part: “I would like to congratulate you on your new position as President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia. The Constitutional Court of Armenia and the Venice Commission have always had an excellent relationship and your Court participates in our Joint Council on Constitutional Justice.”
In his response letter, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan highly appreciated the role played by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe in supporting the comprehensive reforms underway in Armenia, which seek to strengthen democratic institutions in Armenia.
“Reiterating our strong commitment to continued fruitful cooperation with the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, in the near future and through the joint efforts - I look forward to giving a qualitatively new impetus to our bilateral partnership agenda aimed to strengthening of democratic values and promoting the rule of law”, – added the President of the Constitutional Court.
