ARMAN DILANYAN PARTICIPATED IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE COURT OF THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION
On 25 November 2020, President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan, delivered a video address to the participants of the third International Conference of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union titled “New Challenges for EAEU Integration: Legal Dimension”.
In his address to the conference participants, the President of the Constitutional Court attached importance to the role of national judiciary and supranational courts in ensuring the respect for the principle of the rule of law, protection of citizens' rights and fundamental freedoms amid the universal challenges of 2020.
Moreover, the President of the Constitutional Court stressed the importance of improvement of the normative-legal frameworks in the EEU region, which will ensure the effective exercise of the rights and responsibilities of the citizens, contributing to the development of member states’ economies.
The President of the Constitutional Court stated, in particular, “In the given context, the Strategy for Developing Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 is of special significance, and the processes and mechanisms reflected therein, will contribute to the increase of the efficiency of the EEU institutions, including the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as it will enhance the attractiveness of the Union, the improvement of legal mechanisms of its competitiveness, the effective protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, the increase of scientific and industrial potential.”
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s edition of the Conference was held online.
