MEETING WITH DONOR ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORTING JUSTICE SECTOR REFORMS IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
On January 24, 2024, representatives of donor organizations supporting the institutional reform agenda of the High Court were hosted at the auspices of the Constitutional Court.
The meeting aimed to coordinate the ongoing projects implemented jointly with donor organizations to avoid duplication, leverage investments, maximize impact, and ensure lasting systemic change.
Representatives from the U.S. Embassy Yerevan’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), the Yerevan Office of the Council of Europe, the EU Delegation to the Republic of Armenia, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia participated in the donors’ consultation meeting initiated by the USAID Armenia Justice Sector Support Project. During the meeting, participants addressed the action plan of the ongoing reforms at the Constitutional Court, and specific directions of action for each donor organization were outlined.
Participants in the donors' consultation meeting expressed confidence that such a working modality would allow the agencies and diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Armenia to unify efforts around the idea of effective cooperation with the justice sector institutions, thus making the reform process more efficient and transparent.
