MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF A NUMBER OF HEIs
On February 26, 2020, Alvina Gyulumyan, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court met with the representatives of the law departments of a number of universities.
Issues related to the organization of the Student Scientific Work Competition announced by the Constitutional Court on February 6, 2020 were discussed during the meeting. Alvina Gyulumyan presented the main purpose of the competition, noting that it is a good opportunity for the law students, Master's and PhD students to increase their interest in constitutional law, constitutional justice and human rights issues. She also noted that the results of the competition will be summed up and the award ceremony will be held on July 5, 2020, on the 25th anniversary of the Constitution. On the basis of the propositions of the participants, certain adjustments were made to the organization of the competition.
Alvina Gyulumyan, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court and Edgar Ghazaryan, Head of the Staff of the Constitutional Court answered the questions of the participants of the discussion. Special attention was also paid to the issues of possible cooperation between the Constitutional Court and different universities, and Alvina Gyulumyan expressed the readiness of the Constitutional Court to provide possible assistance to the universities.
