OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF THE RA CONSTITUTIONAL COURT TO THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS
Upon the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, the Justices of the RA High Court Yervand Khundkaryan and Hovakim Hovakimyan paid an official visit to the Republic of Belarus on April 4-5, 2024, to participate in the International Conference on the “Supremacy of the Constitution: Constitutional Amendments and the Modern Development of Constitutional Control”, dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus.
Addressing the participants of the Conference, Justice of the RA Constitutional Court Yervand Khundkaryan congratulated his Belarusian colleagues, noting that three decades ago, after independence, the establishment of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus was a turning point in the protection of fundamental human rights in Belarus, and through the implementation of constitutional justice, the Constitutional Court became the guarantor of the fulfillment of the commitments undertaken by the state.
Justice of the RA Constitutional Court Yervand Khundkaryan noted that “The decisions of the Court reflect the dynamic development of Belarusian society, addressing complex legal and moral issues. By its decisions, the Constitutional Court not only resolves legal disputes, but also contributes to the adoption of laws that are in line with the aspirations of the Belarusian people and contemporary trends”.
