HRAYR TOVMASYAN HOSTED THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF GERMANY TO ARMENIA
On October 8, 2019, Hrayr Tovmasyan, President of the Constitutional Court hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Mr. Michael Johannes Banzhaf.
The President of the Constitutional Court welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on the start of his diplomatic mission in Armenia, wishing him fruitful work in the sphere of the important development of Armenian-German friendly relations. The Ambassador touched upon the warm and cooperative relations between the Constitutional Court and the Embassy of Germany and expressed his commitment that effective and active cooperation would be continuous.
Hrayr Tovmasyan presented the friendly and partnership relations established between the Constitutional Courts of Armenia and Germany, touching upon the details of the efficient visit of the representative delegation headed by the President of the Constitutional Court of Germany to Armenia in 2019. H. Tovmasyan informed the Ambassador that a delegation headed by him is expected to visit Germany in early 2020.
The President of the RA Constitutional Court also expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation with the legal program of the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) and the Armenian branch of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, highly appreciating the exchange of experience with German partners and experts in the field of constitutional law.
The interlocutors also touched upon the current problems and reforms of the judicial sphere in the Republic of Armenia, highlighting their implementation in accordance with the RA Constitution and the international commitments of Armenia.
