FINAL EVENT OF THE PROJECT “ADVISORY SUPPORT TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA”
On 19 October 2022, the closing event, jointly organized by the Constitutional Court and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia was convened, within the framework of which the final outcomes of the studies implemented within the framework of the "Advisory Support to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia" short-term program were presented. The overall goal of the project was to assist the Armenian Constitutional Court in operationalizing its multi-annual strategy in order to generate and coordinate support from the donor community with a view to overcoming its present challenges and enhancing its capacities to better perform its constitutional mission in Armenia. The project was implemented with the participation of the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and "Europe in Law" Association.
In his welcoming remarks, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan, extended thankfulness to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia, and to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Nico Schermers for the support in the conduction of the given project. Arman Dilanyan reiterated the commitment of the Armenia’s High Court to continue the implementation of in-depth institutional reforms, emphasizing the importance of partnership and their active engagement of international partners in this process.
The event was attended by the several heads of the diplomatic missions and heads of the offices of international organizations accredited in the Republic of Armenia.
