ON THE OCCASION OF THE CONSTITUTION DAY
On July 1, a reception was held in the National Gallery of Armenia on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Armenia, with the participation of Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia.
The reception was attended by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; Galust Sahakyan, President of the RA National Assembly; Hovik Abrahamyan, RA Prime Minister; Hermine Naghdalyan, Vice President of the RA National Assembly, as well as members of the RA Constitutional Court, factions leaders, chairmen of Committees, deputies of the RA National Assembly and members of the RA Government.
The event was also attended by the heads of accredited diplomatic missions in the Republic of Armenia. Gagik Harutyunyan, President of the RA Constitutional Court, had a speech on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Armenia. Text of the speech of G. Harutyunyan in English and Russian languages was in advance handed to the heads of accredited diplomatic missions in the Republic of Armenia, who participated in the reception.
During the reception, the presentation of the book “Constitutional Culture: the lessons of the history and the challenges of the time” was organized (author: Gagik Harutyunyan, President of the RA Constitutional Court, Doctor of Law, Professor). Publication of the book is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia.
Gagik Ghazinyan, academician of NAS RA, had a speech about the book and the author.
