CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTS STUDENTS OF LEV TOLSTOY PRIMARY SCHOOL
On October 8, 2019, a group of students of Lev Tolstoy Primary School visited the Constitutional Court. Accompanied by Edgar Ghazaryan, the Chief of Staff of the Court, the guests toured the Court. During the tour, they were shown the original copy of the Constitution exhibited in the lounge of the Court and were hosted in the session hall, where they were introduced to the Court decisions and procedures.
Within the framework of the visit, Alvina Gyulumyan, Judge of the Constitutional Court also had a discussion with the students. During the meeting, Ms Gyulumyan presented the essence, goals and significance of the Constitution, as well as the scope of powers of the Constitutional Court.
Ms Gyulumyan attached importance to the role of the Constitutional Court decisions in the light of the provisions of the 2015 Constitution, as well as highlighted the important role of ensuring the principle of separation of powers by the Constitution and judicial independence in the realization of democracy. Judge Alvina Gyulumyan also answered the students' questions.
