FIRST SUMMER SCHOOL OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT
On 29-30 July 2023, within the framework of the Project "Support to the Institutional Reforms of the Constitutional Court", the Constitutional Court held the first Summer School for senior students of law faculties of the universities of Armenia.
The Summer School was implemented by the “Europe in Law Association” NGO, with the financial support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Students from the Yerevan State University, American University of Armenia, Eurasia International University, French University in Armenia, and European University of Armenia participated in the Summer School.
The Justices of the Constitutional Court Ms. S. Safaryan, Mr. E. Shatiryan, Mr. H. Hovakimyan and Mr. V. Grigoryan lectured on the principles of formation and operation of the Constitutional Court, the role of the Constitutional Court in the public power system, and the main functions of the Constitutional Court in the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms and constitutional democracy.
The Summer School ended with a study visit to the Constitutional Court, which was followed by the ceremony of handing over the Summer School Participant Certificates.
President of the Constitutional Court Mr. A. Dilanyan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Mr. N. Schermers, and President of “Europe in Law Association” NGO Ms. L. Hakobyan welcomed the first graduates of the Summer School.
