ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT ARMAN DILANYAN ON THE OCCASION OF THE REPUBLIC DAY
Dear compatriots!
Honorable citizens of the Republic of Armenia!
I congratulate all of us on the occasion of the Republic Day.
One hundred and six years ago on this day, May 28, one of the most glorious pages in the history of our people was written with the blood of many sons of the Armenian people, and the First Republic of Armenia was founded, which became the guarantee of hope and faith for the Armenian people in the bright future.
Statehood and independence are not just a matter of chance. These are priceless values acquired through conscious self-sacrifice and the tremendous efforts of hundreds of thousands of Armenian sons who are ready to bring to life these values in order to preserve the collective dignity and national identity of the Armenian people. These values can only be preserved through incredible efforts and wisdom.
Recent developments within our country and abroad have revealed a number of positive and negative realities that we have to reckon with. The challenges currently facing Armenia should make us regain our unity and will in order to overcome these challenges without internal upheavals. However, to succeed in this, we should not only change our psychology and thinking, but also remain faithful and adhere to the constitutional values we uphold.
We had to pay too high a price for independence and statehood, so now, more than a century later, we have to be guided not by emotions, but by institutional thinking, and each of us in our place, with our human qualities, professional integrity, and hard work must contribute to strengthening our country and the Armenian statehood.
My dear compatriots!
Once again, I congratulate all of us on this great holiday and wish our wise people strength and fortitude!
