PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTED THE USAID ARMENIA JUSTICE SECTOR SUPPORT PROJECT TEAM
On 12 December 2022, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan hosted Marc Lassman, Chief of Party of USAID Armenia Justice Sector Support Project.
In his welcoming remarks, Arman Dilanyan attached importance to the consistent development of Armenian-American relations based on common democratic values, as well as he reiterated the commitment of the High Court to the protection of democracy and human rights. The President of the Constitutional Court greatly appreciated the ongoing support of the US administration, the US Embassy and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in strengthening the democratic institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as in the promotion of the rule of law.
For his part, Marc Lassman, Chief of Party of USAID Armenia Justice Sector Support Project expressed gratitude for the warm reception, as well as he presented the components, methodology and goals of the new five-year legal project. Mr Lassman emphasized the importance of the constitutional mission of the High Court in the context of the ongoing judicial reforms in the Republic of Armenia.
Within the scopes of the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the wide range of issues related to the Armenian-American cooperation in the judicial and legal sphere, and the further development of partnership in different domains.
