THE STUDENTS OF THE JEAN MONNET WINTER SCHOOL WERE HOSTED AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

On March 12, 2024, the students of the Jean Monnet Module “EU External Relations in the Times of Geopolitical Turbulence: the Case of the South Caucasus” were hosted at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia. The visit was organized by the initiative of Eurasia International University. Constitutional Court’s Vice-President, Justice Vahe Grigoryan hosted the students. The event was attended by more than thirty students from Oxford, Humboldt, Heidelberg, Passau, Kent, Marburg, Freiburg, and Eurasia International University. Within the scope of the meeting with the students of the leading European universities, Constitutional Court’s Vice-President, Justice Vahe Grigoryan presented the evolution of constitutional justice in the Republic of Armenia. Justice Grigoryan presented the students with the features of the High Court's operation, the latest developments in case law, and its argumentation methodology. The processes of incorporating European standards and fundamental legal values into the legal system of Armenia were discussed with the participants of the international Winter School. A number of professional issues of interest to the students were also touched upon.
