On October 2, 2024, the President of the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan hosted the delegation led by the President of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Alexey Dronov. The delegation also included judges of the Court of the EAEU Erna Hayriyan and Araik Tunyan.
Welcoming the guests, the President of the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan congratulated his colleagues on the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Court of the EAEU. The President of the High Court of the Republic of Armenia noted that the judicial body of the EAEU has undergone a difficult path during this period and has proven its viability taking on a key role within the framework of its competence to ensure the uniform application of the law of the Eurasian Economic Union by the EAEU member states, as well as compliance with the principles of equality and mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties, and the principles of a market economy and fair competition.
The President of the Court of the EAEU, Alexey Dronov, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that they are determined to ensure a solid legal basis for stable and comprehensive modernization of the economies of member states, and increasing the competitiveness of national economies in order to improve the standard of living of the population of these states.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of exchanging professional experience. To this end, the parties discussed the possibility of creating bilateral and multilateral platforms, both in the existing format and remotely. The parties emphasized that cooperation between specialists from professional and academic fields would significantly contribute to increasing the efficiency of both the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union and national courts within the EAEU.
