PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT PARTICIPATED IN THE LAUNCH EVENT OF THE USAID NEW LEGAL PROJECT
On 14 December 2022, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan participated in the Launch event of the USAID/Armenia Justice Sector Support Project. This new five-year legal project aims to assist in establishing a fair and equitable justice system, and increase public confidence in the rule of law.
In his welcoming speech, Arman Dilanyan noted that the USAID judicial-legal projects have always been a stimulus for the improvement of the Armenian judiciary. The President of the High Court emphasized that the US Agency for International Development is one of the reliable and key international partners of the Armenian judicial system, and he expressed hope that the newly launched project would have an essential importance in guaranteeing the independence of the judiciary, providing e-justice equipped with the modern digital solutions, enhancing the professionalism of counterpart judges, as well as it would strengthen the legal awareness, legal education and constitutional culture in Armenia.
The official opening ceremony of the Project was attended by the USAID Armenia Mission Director John Allelo, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, representatives of the judiciary, Acting Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan, Rector of the Justice Academy Sergey Arakelyan, representatives of international institutions, civil society organizations and the mass media․
