PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTED AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA PATRIK SVENSSON
On 21 October 2022, President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia Patrik Svensson.
While welcoming the Ambassador's visit to the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan noted that the High Court is interested in enhancing and strengthening the bilateral interaction with the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as with the Swedish development agencies and organizations operating in the field of rule of law. The President of the Constitutional Court emphasized that the close cooperation and exchange of best practices with Sweden in the fields of rule of law and protection of human rights are extremely valuable for the consistent implementation of reforms in the judicial-legal sphere and the introduction of the best European practices.
Ambassador Svenson extended his gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized his country's readiness and full-fledged commitment to further expand relations with Armenia in various fields, in particular, to ensure the implementation of judicial reforms and the effectiveness of democratic reforms underway in Armenia.
At the request of the Swedish side, the President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan presented the process of ongoing institutional reforms at the Constitutional Court.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed the prospects of strengthening the legal cooperation and inter-court relations between Armenia and Sweden, as well as other issues of mutual interest were addressed.
